The Goal
The League of Women Voters is a citizen’s organization which has been fighting since 1920 to improve the United States government and to engage its citizens in all matters that impact their lives.
As a means to better gauge the interests of their constituents and understand the impact of various issues on their lives, the League wants a digital platform through which members can share their stories.
The Problem
Despite its legacy, the League struggles with awareness about who they are and what they do. Due to this, they don’t see enough digital engagement and participation by their constituents. They are therefore unable to track interests in the causes they champion, or see the effect of these issues on the people of the country.
The Solution
A mobile application which gives users a medium through which to share their personal stories relating to certain causes- to give them a voice, a community and a means to engage with one another. This would help the League better understand and connect with its constituents, so they can come together to work towards social justice.
